This page is meant to shed light into some of the things that have helped me on my healing journey. I enjoy listening to music because it helps to calm me down, the lyrics resonate with me, and it helps to lift my energy. Reading non-fiction books helps me realize that I am not alone, it has helped me develop empathy, helps me make sense of what happened and that I can survive. Reading poetry allows me to understand ideas and emotions in a very meaningful way, it encourages art and creativity. Poetry shows me that love, life and emotions can be expressed in so many different ways. Art to me supports discussing emotions.
